Over the past five months, I virtually sat down with Alyssa Serrano, Diana Bracamontes-Vargas, Ibette Valle, and Karina Ruiz to talk with them about their experience with local social justice work and their projects with the Blum Center.
Over the course of the time I spent interviewing these women, my eyes were opened to so many paths and options that the future could hold for me. As a high school senior, it was incredible and enlightening to hear firsthand stories of social justice work. The insight I got from these conversations was exciting and just being able to interact with these women and discuss their work was inspiring.
The interviews have been edited for clarity.
