Affordable Housing: Fostering Multi-Generational Economic Security, Civic Engagement, Well-Being, and Opportunity
The Blum Center and Habitat are collaborating on a project to assess the impact of affordable housing on multi-generational economic security, civic engagement, well-being, and opportunity. Blum student researchers will conduct and analyze in-depth interviews with Habitat families. Project goals include providing an assessment that Habitat can use to strengthen its own programming, educating UCSC students about affordable housing and increasing their community-engaged research skills, and raising awareness in the community and among policymakers of the importance and benefits of affordable housing.
